Angela Cannatelli (b. 1997) is currently located in Boston, MA. Growing up, she spent most of her time taking photos and working for her family’s business. In 2020 she will receive her BFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Cannatelli’s work revolves around the performative aspects of femininity throughout childhood into womanhood. Her work is raw, and confessional as she interprets her experiences as she herself is entering womanhood. As she learns from her childhood, she investigates where the heteronormative conditioning starts and attempts to indentify and deconstuct that narrative.
